peer victimization
Have you ever heard the old saying, "Be the change you want to see in the world"? Well, this is the exact reason that I want to become a choir director. I was bullied in choir and for a while, I allowed it to affect many areas of my life and struggled because of it. Now that I have overcome those issues, I wish to find ways to turn a classroom with many "targets" into a classroom of students who are eager to learn and engage in the act of learning with their peers. After all, music should be a refuge for students, not a place for them to fear. The age that I am hoping to teach to start out is Jr. High. This is the age when most students are likely to be bullied. I was very eager to study this subject to find ways to help my students. Continue to scroll through the tabs to find my research.
